How is the treatment performed?
This example shows one type of bone reconstruction treatment using Geistlich Bio-Oss® and Geistlich Bio-Gide®. What are the causes of bone loss.
In this example two different situations are shown: One in which the implant is inserted before reconstruction (1) and one in which the implant is inserted after bone reconstruction (2).
Bone reconstruction and insertion of the dental implant can occur during the same appointment. The surgeon may also choose to do bone reconstruction during a first appointment and insert the dental implant some months later during a second appointment.
