Dental Regeneration at the Highest Level in Vienna

In April, the International Osteology Symposium focused entirely on dental regeneration, the latest scientific advancements, and the most recent clinical findings to ensure the best possible patient care. For Geistlich, as a founding partner, this was a unique opportunity to celebrate its 175th anniversary and to present Geistlich Bio-Gide® Forte.

175 Years of History as a Foundation for Innovation

What began in 1851 as Switzerland’s first glue factory evolved into a pioneer of medical regeneration thanks to scientific curiosity, a sense of responsibility, and comprehensive expertise in bone and tissue processing. This pioneering spirit continues to shape Geistlich today, driving continuous innovation and uncompromising quality.

Promoting science and empowering the next generation

Peter Geistlich founded the foundation in 2003 to promote research, education, and the next generation in regenerative medicine. A cause that is more important to Geistlich than ever. The regenerative aspect is the most challenging and plays a decisive role in the clinical success and longevity of treatment with implants, as well as crowns or other prosthetics. Accordingly, the quality of the biomaterials used and the treatment procedures is crucial.

Pioneering spirit with an eye toward the future

At the International Osteology Symposium, Geistlich launched the advanced collagen membrane Geistlich Bio‑Gide® Forte for the European market. The membrane builds on the globally proven Bio-Gide® technology and offers additional strength, improved stability, and optimized handling. An impressive installation demonstrated the strength of the scientific foundation: 1,445 studies, symbolized by approximately four kilograms of paper, stood for the evidence-based efficacy of Geistlich Bio-Gide® technology.

With the market launch of Geistlich Bio‑Gide® Forte, the intensive exchange with the global professional community, and the clear commitment to science, Geistlich demonstrates: For 175 years, we have been advancing regenerative dentistry: responsibly, evidence-based, and future-oriented.
