István Urban

Dr. István Urban is a distinguished expert in oral surgery, implant dentistry, and bone regeneration, with a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academia. After earning his DMD and MD degrees from Semmelweis University in Budapest, he completed advanced training in oral surgery and periodontics, including a fellowship in implant dentistry at Loma Linda University in California. He later became an assistant professor at Loma Linda University, where he continues to teach graduate students in implant dentistry.
Dr. Urban holds a PhD in Periodontology from the University of Szeged, Hungary, and is an honorary professor there. He has contributed significantly to the field through scientific publications and textbook chapters on bone regeneration and soft tissue reconstructive surgery around dental implants. His expertise has made him a sought-after lecturer and educator in the global dental community.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Urban maintains a private practice in Budapest, Hungary, and is licensed in the state of California. He is an active member of various professional organizations, including the Osteology Foundation, where he serves on the Foundation’s Board.
