Geistlich has decided to focus exclusively on its world-leading developments in regenerative medicine. For this reason, the Swiss regeneration expert decided to transfer its entire product portfolio and the marketing of TauroSept® to Théradial. TauroSept® is a market-leading antimicrobial medical device that has been used for decades in the fields of parenteral nutrition, oncology and dialysis for the prevention and treatment of catheter infections.

Théradial is a French company of the Théradial Group which specializes in the distribution of medical devices and pharmaceutical specialties for dialysis, gastroenterology, oncology and clinical nutrition. The Théradial Group was founded in 1998 and has been led by CEO Frédéric Le Pottier since 2017. Headquartered near Nantes, France, the group employs 90 people.

Proven expert
David Wemans, Vice President of Regenerative Technologies at Geistlich, says: "In Théradial we have found a proven expert. TauroSept® is thus in very good hands and will be able to continue building on its achievements as a leading antimicrobial medical device.” With the integration of TauroSept®, Théradial can attractively enhance its offerings for healthcare facilities and patients.

Both companies strive to make the use of central venous catheters as safe as possible. With TauroSept® Geistlich hands over an extremely attractive product to Théradial that has been successfully certified according to MDR and is available in a new packaging variant (ampoule). This ampoule offers a user-friendly alternative to provide patients with a high-quality, effective and safe product.

"This acquisition marks a pivotal moment for our company. With TauroSept® we are adding a product to our portfolio that has proven itself over decades. It reflects our commitment to providing high-value solutions, both in France and internationally," says Fréderic Le Pottier, President of the Théradial Group.
